Jesus must’ve loved picnics.

PicnicHe threw the Ultimate Picnic – twice! Well over 5,000 people enjoyed Picnic #1, with nearly that many at Picnic #2, as described in Mark 6:35-44 and Mark 8:1-9. In both cases, Jesus thanked God for what seemed a pitiable amount of food and then made sure everyone had a great meal, with leftovers (and no ants?). He tasked his disciples with distributing small portions of food and watching those small portions somehow multiply.

As you grill, barbecue, picnic and otherwise find ways to eat outside this summer, take a moment before your feast to pray for Entrust. This summer, as always, we’re coming alongside Christians who have little in the way of ministry training provision in front of them, asking deep questions, trusting the Holy Spirit to multiply learning and multiply leaders for local churches.
