Encourage gratitude

Four ways to encourage gratitude this Thanksgiving
  1. Before you eat, go around the table and have each person say one thing they appreciate about the person to their right. No silly answers allowed!
  2. Build a Tower of Thanks. Give everyone three to five pieces of card stock and markers. Have them write or draw a picture of something they’re thankful for on each piece of paper, then fold the paper in half or into an interesting shape. Go around the table sharing one paper at a time, then adding it to a growing Tower of Thanks in the middle of the table, seeing how high you can build your tower.
  3. Go thanksgiving caroling. Walk the neighborhood or a nursing home, singing songs, handing out handmade thanksgiving cards or performing acts of kindness. (Burn some calories and show kindness to others at the same time!)
  4. Be creative. Dream up your own gratitude-building activity and share it with a friend (including us!)
