Four ways to encourage gratitude this Thanksgiving
- Before you eat, go around the table and have each person say one thing they appreciate about the person to their right. No silly answers allowed!
- Build a Tower of Thanks. Give everyone three to five pieces of card stock and markers. Have them write or draw a picture of something they’re thankful for on each piece of paper, then fold the paper in half or into an interesting shape. Go around the table sharing one paper at a time, then adding it to a growing Tower of Thanks in the middle of the table, seeing how high you can build your tower.
- Go thanksgiving caroling. Walk the neighborhood or a nursing home, singing songs, handing out handmade thanksgiving cards or performing acts of kindness. (Burn some calories and show kindness to others at the same time!)
- Be creative. Dream up your own gratitude-building activity and share it with a friend (including us!)
