What are you afraid of?

We all have strong opinions in this day and age. In the U.S., those opinions circle around politics, morals, beliefs, clothing, even food. We all know it’s best to listen before we speak, seek to understand the other’s point of view, look for common ground when we can.

And in some cases, speak out. Not cruelly. Not with weapons in hand. Not to hurt. But to be clear. Because right and wrong do exist. All is not relative. Some ideas need to be challenged.

So, examine your beliefs in light of the Bible. Be sure of what is true. Then stand for truth. What’s the worst that can happen? You might be challenged, ridiculed, called “intolerant.” OK, fine. Exercise your freedom to speak truth. In love. With gentleness.

Check out I Peter 3:13-17.
