Oh how we love bright orange fakey material passing itself off as food. You know. The cheese curl. The packet of powder in that mac and cheese box. Certain beverages called “juice.” A product called “cheese food.” Anything that turns our fingers, lips and tongue brilliant orange. It doesn’t occur in nature, but we love it. If you Google the origin of those substances, however, you might hesitate before indulging next time.
It’s good to trace things back to their origin. Where did that food, that product, that idea, that practice come from? Consider exploring the background of something important in your life this week. Make sure it’s coming from a reliable source. And be ready to make some changes if that source proves less than trustworthy.
