January 24 was a hard day for Mark and Kim Huffman. Mark explains. “We had said our goodbyes to friends in Odessa, Ukraine, where we’d lived for more than 10 years. And now, early on the morning Jan. 24, we locked our apartment doors for the last time, loaded suitcases into friends’ cars and were off to the airport. Another group of friends was waiting for us at the airport; all of us with heavy hearts that matched the dark sky. Our friends prayed for us and sent us off to a new phase of ministry.
“Is this how Barnabas and Paul felt when the Antioch church sent them on their first ministry trip in Acts 13? Barnabas and Paul sailed to Cyprus. Kim and I flew to Minneapolis. I think our trip was longer, but probably more comfortable.
“We felt sadness in the goodbyes mixed with excitement about the ministry God has laid before us with Entrust. We are thankful God is leading us. “You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” (Psalm 16:11)”
The Huffmans recently joined Entrust staff. Mark will serve as the COO, based out of the headquarters office in Colorado Springs.
