Are you so mad you could kick something right now? Ready to tell you-know-who exactly what you think? Hold off! Take a breath! Count to 27 (ten isn’t enough).
Anger is not in itself a sin. Jesus never sinned, yet we know he did get angry. How we deal with our anger can take us into sin; lashing out physically or verbally, storing up bitterness, resentment and grudges, keeping lists of wrongs. Don’t go there. Instead, ask God to help you take these words from the Bible to heart, to apply them very literally to your situation. “Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” (Eph. 4:31-32)
As you have forgiven, so you can forgive. Let it be!
